The King's treatment for prospective customers whilst existing customers are being ignored and treated as feeble peasants

On the 4th of May this year I contacted King Price Insurance to get a qoute to remove my car I sold a few days prior, to cancel my home and content insurance and to change the regular driver on my car as I was on my way overseas for 3 months. I had to speak to 3 different consultants as new / different insurance options were marketed to me. Eventually I was put through to a lady named Geraldine Jordan.

I requested a qoute to be sent to my e-mail address with the proposed new premium and informed them that I was going overseas and only wanted to be contacted by e-mail. On the 10th of May after having contacted customer services via e-mail I eventually received my updated policy schedule, with the regular driver already changed but no adjustment on my premium for the specific motor vehicle. I immediately rep**** to the e-mail asking King Price customer services that I actually only wanted a qoutation first before I accepted and just wanted to make sure that the premium amount is correct as I expected it to increase due to the new proposed driver being much younger and only having a licence for a couple of months.

I received no response from King Price on this e-mail and accepted that the last insurance schedule sent was correct.

The subsequent deductions from my bank statement made no sense to me. They were as follows:

03/05 - R 267.04

01/06 - R 410.73

01/07 - R 653.44

I e-mailed King Price Insurance customer services requesting a response as to why my insurance premium seems to almost double every month since I changed the regular driver on 8 July. I have not had any feedback yet.

It is sad to me that this insurance company did their utmost best to contact me asap and get my insurance cover up and running when I moved over to them, but now being an existing customer the service levels have dropped immensely to a point of being ignored whilst my premiums are escalating beyong my understanding.
