I have been with King price since 2016. I have had no issues with them until now. My debit order is usually around R887 give or take a few rand. Every year the policy is reviewed and is increased by most R100 but In August 2021 they, without getting a confirmation from me deduct R1444.82 and September R1436.77 An increase of 65% !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Who in their right minds increases their loyal customers insurance policy by 65% this is outrageous. I called them and then the consultant tells me they can review my policy and he brought it down to R995 and as for the previous 2 months he can only refund me for September and not August. As a loyal customer I fell like I am being **********

This is pathetic!!!!! Shame on you King price this is not a royal decree!!!!!!

Here's the thing, like all insurers, we too need to implement policy rerates to keep up the rising costs of parts, labour rates, repairs, inflation etc... Which even we can't ignore! These costs aren't linked to the value of your car, which as you know, depreciates monthly. And unlike other insurers, King Price takes this into account and DECREASES your comprehensive car insurance premium every month. Our retentions department has been in contact to discuss.
