******* by order of the King

King Price has tried to pull a fast one on its clients. They have just increased their customers premiums by 30% (yes, thirty %) with a so called inflation rate of 4.6% they must have their heads read. I'm not willing to pay for your holidays or whatever so I try to cancel and guess what. If I don't speak with one of them they refuse to cancel. The e-mail I wrote cancelling my short term insurance with them is not enough.I have to waste more time, time that I don't have, on the phone with them irritating me even more. Is there no law against such ridiculous behaviour by companies? They write me a stupid little e-mail telling me, indirectly, that I will pay 30% extra as from 01/03/2016 and I have to accept it but when I answer and send them an e-mail refusing any further dealings with King Price, an e-mail is useless.

Hello etpotgieter,

Here's the thing, like all insurers, we too need to implement policy rerates to keep up the rising costs or parts and repairs... Which even we can't ignore!

These costs aren't linked to the value of your car, which as you know, depreciates monthly. And unlike other insurers, King Price takes this into account and DECREASES your comprehensive car insurance premium every month.

Our retentions department will be in contact with you to discuss your concerns and the way forward.

Royal regards
