Retail vs Registration

I had shared a review previously as my claim was being finalized with, however due to the vehicle not being registered at the time I took delivery which was 24 November 2020. The insurance claims that the vehicle was a 2020 and was willing to pay the retail on that year and model. The VIN does not give you the year and model so according to NISSAN SA and Auto Pedegree the NATIS needs to be taken into account which reflects the vehicle as being a 2021. King Price and the insurance commander as they call it, fail to understand this. The date of first liability needs to be taken into consideration. King Price was made aware when insuring the vehicle before it was taken from the shop floor that the registration would be delayed and that I do not have the registration of the vehicle and a copy of the log book at present and I would call them back to make the necessary corrections on my existing insurance. Therefor they had used the TEMP REGISTRATION NUMBER to complete the claim. 49 Days later on the 12 January 2021 at 11:57 my vehicle was ****** and camera footage of the incident was sent to the insurer. The vehicle still had the TEMP and no plates. Only when I reported the vehicle ****** was I emailed a copy of the registration, but no calls that my number plates were available for pick up. To make changes to the insurance at the time of loss and getting documents after the loss was of no use. The insurer sent me a breakdown of the figures which I had to sign as acceptance but did not as I queried the retail of the vehicle as a 2021. King Price paid out the finance company without my approval or signature, even when it was stated that I needed to sign off on the agreement. I assumed at that time they were excellent at the quick and efficient way they handled my claim and that my query regarding the retail value at time off loss and according to the NATIS document there would be a difference paid out to e, not to enrich myself but to have at least a deposit to purchase a new vehicle.

After continuous emails sent to Mianay van Vuuren it was said on emails received from her that she had contacted Auto Pedegree and Nissan Sa to confirm that the vehicle was actually a 2020. Upon my own investigations I received proof from both Nissan SA and Auto Pedegree that this was not the case. Manufactured details to that of registration is totally different. A vehicle can be manufactured 2 years ago but sold today, which means that the vehicle is a 2021.

Questions 1. If I had the vehicle in possession right now and wanted to sell it. Would it not be correct to sell the vehicle as a 2021 as per the NATIS DOCUMENT and not 2020. 2. If the vehicle is recovred if not already what would King Price sell or auction it as, a 2020 or 2021. If its 2021 then it benefits the Insurance company. 3. Why would matrix call me on the 21 January 2021 asking for the new registration number of the vehicle? thus stating the the unit was sending a signal and the recovery team is in the area trying to locate the vehicle after I had requested what was the status of the vehicle at the time. Bear in mind the Beamie tracking device was only installed on the 11 January 2021 and the vehicle was ****** the following day 12 January 2021 after contacting King Price who also failed at getting the unit fitted on time when I took delivery on the 24 Nov 2020.

A deposit amount of R70K was put into this vehicle plus groceries of 1000K and tools to the value of 2500K was in the vehicle at the time of loss. Getting part payment of the difference would have soften the blow at my loss and would at no time enriched me. Because my vehicle was an asset to me. Was told the the assessing manager would call. I am still waiting from Thursday as per Mianay
