Prorata

I changed my vehicle however kept my insurance with king price. when converting the consultant who assisted me told me I will not be paying any prorata of which I wanted confirmation and told her I hope this will not change , she assured me and said if otherwise I can request the recording of the conversation that I should not worry , that the premium paid will cover for the new vehicle. However to my surprise on the 29th of January my account was debited for the second time leaving me on a minus.

When I called King price to understand and get clarity in terms of why that happened I was told that unfortunately there is nothing they can do , that im liable otherwise I will not be covered even though the premium has gone through. I don't know why I was misinformed by King price in terms of what needs to happen and I still refuse to pay any prorata because it is within my right not to because I was not aware of such.
