Pathetic insurance settlement CKP***/1 Matter 252863

<p>I was in an accident where the manwho drove into my car has insurance at King Price. The guy changed lanes and did not see me, It was slow moving traffic in the M1. He eventually stopped and we exchanged details. I sent a claim in during February to his insurance, King Price insurance, to Anton Snyman. With no feedback I eventually followed up and then discovered Anton is no longer employed at King Price. Then a lady by the name of Rochelle Swanepoel assisted me with the claim. Bear in mind I was hardly moving when the guy drove in me, because of the slow moving traffic. Rochelle got back to me to say that the claim was rejected and that I am liable to pay the insurance an amount of R835.94, but they will not claim it from me. I called her and explained my frustration and i eventually called the manager. The manager, Vanessa, based the claim on a sketch where i didn't draw the other cars on the highway. After explaining to her I was driving so slow and I couldnt avoid the accident and the accident was not my fault, she said she will review the claim. The first e-mail stating the rejection was sent at 8:22am on 15.06.2017, the review was then sent at 9:22 on the same day. They want to pay me R1989.06 for damages that equals R 8 708.52. How unreasonable is that, a settlement of less than 25% of the damages caused. I am extremely unhappy with this settlemet as I would not have had any expenses if it wasnt for the man driving into my car. A total rip-off.... I can send all the proof of e-mails.
