My experience with Kingprice insurance
First time when i joined King price i was told that my premiums will often go down after every 3 or 4 months n thats why they do not have a cash out paid to your account after 5yrs if you did not claim. Untill the 3month period came when i realised that they were talking about +/- R3 rands. The worse thing was when i repeatedly asked them to send me my insurance policy and could only receive 2 pages policy summary, even when u log into their website you get only a summary of your policy which then worried me something isn't ok here and remember, you cannot always remember what you were told on call when your were taking the policy.
Then after 3 years of me pumping money in this company, i heard a mechanical breakdown on my vehicle, n guess what, i come from a rural area n i am110 km far from town where my car may get a proper service. When i called King price, they told me that they could only tow my vehicle within a 30km radius, else the rest of the distance-travelled cost will be due by me and thats when i knew "policy summary" where i could not see all T&C was their escape goat because i would have left them
When i enquire from other insurances before leaving Kingprice ,i found out that their radius was far beyond 30km.
Thank you for your review.
Please note that towing is limited in the event of a mechanical breakdown as it's not an insured peril. When inquiring with other insurers make sure to ask them what their tow distance is on something that is not an insured peril.
Please note the monthly decrease is based on the monthly depreciation of the insured vehicles value which we are not in control of.
Please also not that your policy comprised of a policy schedule and the KPPD ( King Price Policy Document ). The schedule and a link to the KPPD is emailed to you on inception of the policy which is explained in the mail. The KPPD is also available on our website for anyone to read.
Should you require any further information you are welcome to contact King Price directly.
royal regards

Since my car was insured on retail value. How did it depreciate cos those that depreciate are those on market value? If King Price had policy detailed completely i wouldn't be even asking these questions.
