Multiple Collision Accident

My daughter was involved in a car accident on the 26th of February 2024, around 17:00. It was a multiple collision: the guy who crashed into my daughter jumped the pavement, crashed into her, and she bumped into the lady who was on the other lane. Some consultants called my daughter for a backstory. She explained what happened, and they told her that if they can't track the guy, she will have to pay the excess amount. She agreed. Last week, she received a call from Panel Beaters of Distinction, saying that they received the car and are waiting for Kingprice to send parts. That was last week Friday. Yesterday, my daughter received a message from the 3rd party's sister, saying that she has to find the guy who caused the accident to pay her. Can you please assist because I'm confused?
