King Price - STAY AWAY

King Price was very friendly and helpful UNTIL I made a claim. They do not care about the customers after they made a claim. I was assured I would get a genuine windshield replaced and I got a non genuine windshield even though my car is new and still under warranty. I have emailed and called multiple times and I get zero feedback. This is the worst insurance company and I DO NOT RECOMMEND them AT ALL. They will mess up your car with cheap unsafe replacements and not respond to you at all just because you already claimed. I cannot ask for a callback on the app since they blocked it. It did not work correctly, so they blocked it and Franklin Jafta said I can contact him directly via email for a call. It worked fine UNTIL I CLAIMED. They asked me to write the previously good review when I signed up with them, now I am writing the truth in this actual review after I have been with them for months. They know I cannot go to another insurance because I claimed and I would not be able to afford it then. DO NOT FALL for their friendliness in the beginning, it is all a scheme. I regret being a customer of King Price.

Alternative glass is not inferior to a branded glass. All glass manufactured for the use as windscreens must be SABS approved and both branded and alternative glass are subject to the very same SABS standards and tests. Alternative glass merely comes at a much better rate than that of the branded alternative. Alternative glass is accepted as a preferred replacement within the insurance industry, as there is no difference in the quality of the glass. There are instances in which we will consider installing branded glass, but there must be clear merit in this decision. Mostly this will be if the warranty of your vehicle will be effected. If your vehicle is under warranty King Price will require a letter from the manufacturer that confirms that the installation of a non-branded Glass will void your warranty should you want us to look into this further.
