King Price Insurance & POPIA

Seems King Price never read the brief on the POPI act (https://popia.co.za/). They contact me every few days, robo-calling me incessenty until I take the call and once again ask them to take me off of their list. They never do though and I certainly did not give them my personal details, so they must have bought them from a data broker and refuse to delete them.

Sadly POPIA is another piece of well-intentioned but ultimately toothless piece of legislature and we are left with little to no recourse against these stalker companies.

Out of principal I will never take insurance from this company. In what world do they think that irritating people into taking their unsolicated calls would make anyone want to use their services?
