king price insurance claim rejection

KING PRICE: my solar battery system got damaged December 2023 with all the rain and lightning that took place. We replace our batteries on the 22nd of October 2022 with brand new batteries. We left on holiday on the 8th of December 2023 and returned on the 18 January 2024, before we left my solar system was in a good working condition, when we return and the loadshedding started again we realized that all our batteries was damaged due to the heavy rains and thunderstorms OR loadshedding spike over the December period. We immediately contacted King Price and lodge a claim with them (my solar system is specified) the very next day the insurance King Price electrician come and did an inspection on my system and confirmed that my batteries got damaged due to a spike or lightning damage. i made contact with the assessors dealing with the claim, the assessors told me that my claim was valid, and that King Price must settle my claim and replace the batteries. (16x 200AMP Gel batteries) After one week i made a follow-up with King Price insurance just to find out my claim was rejected. The only reason they can give me is that power surges or lightning cannot damaged my solar system or batteries. How can 16 batteries ,some only one year old can all d Biggest nonsense i have ever heard. After leaving 10 massages for the consultant dealing assisting with my claim, i am still waiting for any feedback or a rejection letter. The only answer i get from the call center is to contact the ombudsman if i don't agree with the outcome of my claim. i am putting my trust in King Price to insure my house, my house content, all my cars and this is the service we are getting.
