King Price Insurance claim experience.

It saddens me that I have to write such about my first car insurance experience, however this is the reality.

I hit a bad pothole, made a claim to my insurers and upon collection of my car to be towed by them at my nearest filling station from the highway I was travelling on. It was collected and pictures were taken of the vehicle.

My vehicle fuel tank at the time of towing was full. Upon collection of the vehicle after it had been repaired, my tank was a quarter.

I further called the insurance to ask why, as it takes towing the car to repaid and not driving it around. Furthmore, given reasonability it should have at least been at 3/4 upon collection even though it was driven during its repair.

I further asked my insurance to inspect the pictures sent by the guy who towed my car, they said the datch board was off when he took a picture.

It is scary as this could mean my car could have been getting driven around the entire Gauteng and I wouldn't know because record of my Km upon towing and detail was not captured.

I also had to make my way to where my vehicle was being repaired, using GPS upon collection. Which I also find unfair, given when it was towed they were willing to drive me home and tell me about my R7500 excess to be paid upon repairs.

I drive a Hyundai grand I10 2019 module, pay a premium of R1092 per month. My vehicle is paid off and I had ay access of R7500. Yet I still got such treatment. Furthermore, this was my first claim ever since I got the car brand new from the dealership.

I would not advise anyone to sign up with King Price given my experience.
