King Price insurance
On the 3rd May at 16h15, I hit some object on the M7 freeway, there was a sound underneath the car and the oil light started flashing. Due to the risk of me being a female travelling on a busy road during peak hour, I traveled home 3 kms away with the oil light on. When I arrived home, I was in such a state, tried calling Toyota on numerous occasions to request assistance since I was not sure on what was wrong with my car. After two failed calls, I was referred to call Roadside assistance who said I need to call my insurance company but since it was close to 5pm, that I should call them in the morning. In the 4th May, I reported my incident to King Price who lodged my claim and arranged for me to collect a courtesy car from Eurpora cars. This vehicle is so small but when I requested another vehicle I was told that I need to pay for additional costs, which I didn't have. On the 5th May at 12pm, my car was towed by King Price to be assessed. I received a call from.Shaun from Kingprice to say that the sump was damaged and he tried starting my car but it didn't start and there is a possibility that I damaged the engine due to the oil light been on, when I drove it. I was very upset as I would of been high risk if I stopped my car on a busy road at peak hour. Shaun did say he will call me as a specialist needs to.check whether the engine was damaged. Two weeks after my call from.Shaun, I was told by him that he was waiting for the specialist as they outsource these services. He also mentioned that the spares were ordered but there was no stock. A specialist is outsourced by King Price at a cost, which shouldn't take two weeks. Shaun mentioned the specialist will replace the part and start the car by Friday afternoon, latest Saturday and he will give feedback on the weekend. On Tuesday, I called and was told that Shaun will call me back, which he did not. I called again on Thursday requesting the Manager of.the Assesor to call me as he was noy in the office. I called twice afterwards as I didn't receive my call and I was.told that emails were sent to him. At approximately 16h50, I called claims dept who explained that Jeremy was still not in the office. I asked a question in the absence of one manager, there should be someone else handling the queries. I requested to.speak to Claims manager who listened to my query and promised to follow up with Jeremy. This morning I received a call from Jeremy who advised me that the engine is not damaged and the repairs are been attended to even though I have not received rhe full assessment yet as I am unable to accumulate the R9500 for excess in one.week. Sad to say Jeremy promised to call me back today to give me feedback and up to know, NO NEWS FROM KINGPRICE.
Unfortunately they have lost a valued customer and I hope that people's eye are open from my experience as there is NO CUSTOMER SERVICE IN KINGPRICE.
