King Price Ignoring Requests

I joined King Price last year for the first time. I have been with them now for around 9 months. No claims, no accidents. Yet, they decide to increase my monthly insurance by 26.5%. They claim, 4% is due to the value of my asset's yearly increase in replacement value which is okay, but explain the rest of the 22.5%?? This is absolutely shocking!

I have never experienced any service (other than Eskom), that requests this kind of increase. What worries me, is if this is the kind of increase they request just on a yearly basis, how exuberant will this become when you have an accident and claim? 50%, 100%??

I have rep**** to their emailing more than a month ago, requesting an explanation in writing of where the 22.5% comes from, not over a phone call. They just refuse my request and keep on phoning me about 20 times a day, and then I get emails saying (we missed you, but you didn't answer). What more must I do to get the details out of you??? I have spoken to my bank, and if another debit order goes off without written confirmation of exactly what I am paying for, I will reverse your debit orders. You as King Price are currently out rightly ignoring a paying customers request. But you will never miss a debit order.

My policy number is KP***

Here's the thing, like all insurers, we too need to implement policy rerates to keep up the rising costs of parts, labour rates, repairs, inflation etc... Which even we can't ignore!  These costs aren't linked to the value of your car, which as you know, depreciates monthly.  And unlike other insurers, King Price takes this into account and DECREASES your comprehensive car insurance premium every month.
The reason we are trying to call you is to discuss your premiums and the way forward.
