King Price ignores physical evidence and the laws of physics

I am writing this to warn other road users about the bad faith handling of my third-party claim (***-1***) by King Price.

My vehicle was struck in the rear right fender by their insured driver. Despite the driver admitting fault at the scene, King Price has rejected the claim, alleging I was *******ly overtaking.

Unless I was overtaking in reverse, their narrative is a physical impossibility. A vehicle hit in the rear is, by definition, the lead vehicle. I have provided clear photographic evidence of the impact point, yet King Price management (Charleen Vosloo) has selectively ignored these facts and issued a final deadlock.

To make matters worse, I was told telephonically by their staff that they were incapable of responding to the technical merits of my dispute. They are happy to collect premiums but seem to rely on factually impossible narratives to avoid paying legitimate claims.

I have now officially lodged a complaint with the National Financial Ombud (***) and have submitted a POPIA request for all call recordings to prove the procedural failures in this case.

King Price, if you want to resolve this based on the conservative settlement offer I previously provided (which you ignored), you have my details. Otherwise, I look forward to the Ombud’s ruling on your overtaking theory.

I note your response. However, your "legal position" still fails to address the physical evidence of a rear-end impact. A legal department cannot change the laws of physics to suit a rejection.

This type of bad faith handling and reliance on impossible narratives is exactly why King Price has such a terrible name in the insurance industry.
