KING PRICE
<div>King Price does not have their clients interest at heart, they put on a royal show that they care and will guide you every step of the way when you claim.......but then they lie and don't follow procedures and leave you vulnerable and alone.
On the 22 April 2021 I had to claim for my vehicle. It was early hours of the morning and I was on my way to work, the roads were wet and the vehicle turned over on the road. I was grateful that I still had life in me.
I followed all insurance procedures, I called King Price, informed them of the situation, vehicle was towed away. I went to the hospital for a medical check, then went to SAPS to report the incident.
I was assisted by a gentleman named Craig from King Price. Craig was very helpful and went through the entire claim process with me. Craig also informed me that an assessor with assess my vehicle and will call me.
On the 25 April 2021, the assessor went to my vehicle and did the inspection and called back on the 26 April 2021. The assessor advised that the assessment was done and that King Price would call me. Assessor made no mention of any faults found, when asked, assessor said that the vehicle is a write off.
Craig from King Price called me and informed that the assessor has assessed the vehicle and they would now proceed with the claim payout.
Craig and I had many conversations regarding my claim and the progress. Our last conversation was that Craig investigates an additional item I took on my vehicle.
From our conversation, it seemed as if there were no issues from my claim. Craig never mentioned that there was any issue with my claim. He led me down the path that my claim was going to be paid, gave me retail value and advised that the claim will be paid out between 5 to 10 working days.
Today 12 May 2021, I received a mail from King Price stating that my claim has been rejected.
I called King Price and spoke to a consultant who promised that she would get Marius to call me back, I waited for 30 minutes and no call, I called again and spoke to another lady who said that my claim was rejected due to an ******* tyre. She informed me that the assessment was done on the 11 May 2021 and was picked up that the tyre is *******.
I asked her to prove this as the vehicle has not been in my possession for 23 days now.
She further advised that her manager Johan will call me.
Johan did call me and was very cold and not sympathetic, on short word, Johan advised that the claim will not be paid even though Craig did not follow procedure by misinforming me from day 1 of my claim.
He further advised that I have 7 days to collect my vehicle from SMD or pay the charges for storage.
Johan also advised that 3 assessors assessed my vehicle and it was picked up on 25 April that the tyres were *******. Again, from the day of my incident and me speaking to the assessor and Craig - I was not informed of such.
It took King Price 23 days to bring this information to light.
Johan states that he will look into his team not following procedures but this does not change the outcome as the claim is rejected.
My issue - my vehicle has not been in my possession for 23 days, there has been 3 assessments done from the 25 April and I have only been informed regarding the 1st assessment. King Price can only provide 1 documented assessment as Johan states that all other assessments are done on the 1st assessment. I do not see any additional notes in the 1st assessment. I also require the assessor to go through the report with me in detail. There is only 1 assessors name on the document. Craig advised me that he went through the assessors reports and the pictures fro the assessor and that they are proceeding to paying the claim. Craig never informed me that there was an issue, as I believe that there was no issue, the issue arrived on the 11 May 2021 and the document from 25 April 2021 has no truth. Again, why didn't Craig inform me of this when he went through the process and the document with me?
Did King Price really wait 20 days to get back to me and then inform me that the claim is rejected? Has King Price ammened the assessment report that was done on the 25 April 2021? Why can I not see the rest of the assessment reports?
If this was the case, King Price should have contacted me after they received the assessment report - this would then be OK to believe, but 20 days after the assessment, whilst the vehicle is in the care of SMD. I dont think so, this is hard to believe.
I wish you all understand that King Price is not here for their clients, there is no royalty treatment from King Price. They want your money and that's that.

I have further gone through your policy details and find many points whereby you state that dishonesty is the best policy and and false or incorrect information could lead to the claim being rejected. Now please tell me what happens when King Price is dishonest or fails to provide correct information? How does that then affect the policy / claim?
