King Price delivers the worse claims service ever.

I insured my sons bakkie on my policy and specified the cover on back of bakkie and paid additional premium for the specified item. The specified item was insured for R1500 and then it got ******. Upon putting in my first claim on the specified item they told me I cannot claim because the excess is R1500. yet remembering the consultant telling at inception excess on specified items is R500. So my question is : What kind of insurance company insures a specified item and and applies the same excess of the value of the item and charges client a premium on something they can never claim for? I certainly argued they applying the wrong excess but they tell you to refer to wording or they will call back but never do.

Unfortunately, we're not going to proceed with this claim because the amount that's payable by you is more than the amount you're claiming for. Remember, the excess amount/s plus any other contributions would be due by you before we could process the claim. The claim amount is R 1,499.00. Your basic excess, any applicable additional excess amount/s, and any extra contributions, are outlined below:

Basic Excess

Basic Car | R 1,500.00
