King Price Delays Authorised Claim – Unacceptable Treatment of a Paying Client

I took out a policy with King Price to protect me in times of need—not to be treated with delay tactics, excuses, and poor service.

My claim was officially authorised on 11 September 2025, but more than a month later, my vehicle is still not repaired. Instead of proceeding with the clearly approved repairs, King Price’s representative began raising irrelevant and unsubstantiated issues, including so-called “prior repairs” and “wear and tear,” none of which were flagged by the original assessor.

To be clear:

The rims were part of the authorised claim.

There is no clause in the policy excluding previously repaired parts.

King Price sent my car to their own panel beater without my instruction.

I’ve been cooperative throughout, yet subjected to endless delays and no formal resolution.

I’ve also been threatened with having my rental vehicle cancelled and was told I’d be paid out instead—without my agreement, and despite never rejecting the repairs.

This is not how a reputable insurer should treat its clients. I’ve since escalated the matter to the Ombudsman and sought legal representation. I’ve kept all records, emails, and evidence, and will continue exposing this poor conduct until accountability is taken.

King Price, honour your policy. Stop wasting clients’ time and trust.
