King Price decrease premiums with cents but increase with hundreds!
I had my old Nissan 1400 covered (3rd party and theft) together with my home contents. Then January this year I added another vehicle (comprehensive cover) together with my portable possession (a phone). Now for these items I am currently paying R1200 but I received an email that it will be increased to R1700!!!!! Since Monday I am trying to get hold of KingPrice people to tell them that I will not be able to afford R1700, Monday I left a message on their (not so effective) website but I know if it was a request for new insurance cover i was gonna be called within a minute! Yesterday i called and was told a senior person will call me back to try to reduce my premium. No one called. Today i was also not assisted because they were too busy. I want to warn the public that Kingprice reduces your premium with cents then increases it with hundreds! And you are only important when they can make money out of you but when you need assistance they dont have people that can serve you!

08 Apr 2019, 08:43Here's the thing, like all insurers, we too need to implement policy rerates to keep up the rising costs of parts, labour rates, repairs, inflation etc... Which even we can't ignore! These costs aren't linked to the value of your car, which as you know, depreciates monthly. And unlike other insurers, King Price takes this into account and DECREASES your comprehensive car insurance premium every month. Our retentions department tried calling you on the 06/04/2019 but to no avail, we will try again shortly.
