King Price cancelled my insurance without my consent — leaving me uninsured
King Price Insurance cancelled my motor policy without my consent, approval, or any recorded confirmation, which resulted in me unknowingly being uninsured in January when I was involved in an accident.
On 17 November 2025, I contacted King Price to request a premium review because my premium was too high. I was sent a quote for a lower premium and I clearly stated that I would think about it and asked for a call-back. I never instructed anyone to cancel my policy.
I never approved any cancellation. I never rep**** “YES” to any SMS, never signed anything, and never gave verbal consent to cancel my policy.
Despite this, my policy was cancelled on 10 December 2025 and I was only made aware after my accident in January when my policy did not appear on the claims system.
I also dispute that any valid cancellation call took place. My phone records show that I did not answer any King Price call at the time they allege consent was given. Cancelling a policy without explicit, recorded client consent is a serious breach of FAIS and Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) regulations.
I now formally demand that King Price provide:
The call recording where I allegedly authorised cancellation The email, SMS, or written instruction showing my consent The audit trail for the cancellation If this proof cannot be produced, the cancellation is ******** and my policy must be reinstated and my claim processed.
If this is not resolved immediately, I will escalate this matter to the National Financial Ombud for formal investigation.
