KING PRICE BAD SERVICE
I took out a vehicle's extended warranty two years ago. Never claimed from it, but on my first claim they rejected my claim, the reason being an absurd contention that my vehicle's service history is not up to date. Their basis for such an absurd assertion is this: "The vehicle was serviced on 10 September 2021/185 649km, and the next service should have been done by 10 September 2022/200 649km. The vehicle was serviced on 04 November 2022 and therefore it was serviced 53days late" You will note that the vehicle was not overdue by Kms, and even the contention of the 53 days does not hold water because firstly, there are many factors that influence that, but most importantly the Manufacturer does allow for service overdue in terms of the date, but keep it strictly to 1500kms in terms of the mileage. This is so because the main reason behind regular servicing is to create a rapid fault detection system which in turn makes repairs less tedious and seamless. Lastly, the manufacturer's intent by enacting "15000 or every year" was to prevent a vehicle going without service for two consecutive years, since a lot can go wrong in such a period.
Despite having informed King Price that I have quite a number of vehicles in my possession, when I took up the policy and that I was in another province for a whole month with the vehicle in question remaining in my primary residence in another province, all those seem to have suddenly fallen on an evader's deaf ears.
Reasonably assessed, it is blatantly absurd to expect any person to be able to service a vehicle spot on, on the same date in which it was serviced the previous year. The Retail Motor Industry and Manufacturers do allow for vehicles to be overdue by a reasonable amount of kms or months, I submit that King Price is not a reasonable service provider, they evade honoring their obligations.
