King Price Are Lying

CKP***/1 King Price Insurance Mr S Moodley Road 746 House 40 , Montford *** *** 24 July 2025

To: The Complaints Department King Price Insurance Subject: Immediate Escalation – Gross Mishandling and ******** Rejection of Insurance Claim

Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction and outrage regarding the disgraceful handling of my recent insurance claim by King Price Insurance. I am Mr S Moodley, a paying client, and I am compelled to escalate this matter due to the ******** and negligent conduct displayed by your company. On 21 June 2025, I purchased a brand-new vehicle. On 27 June 2025, I took out insurance with King Price for this vehicle, which was confirmed via email. I comp**** fully with your requirements, and on 28 June 2025, I made the required premium payment of R1185.79, along with a pro-rata payment of R120, both reflected clearly in my bank statement. Following confirmation of payment, I took possession of the insured vehicle. On 8 July 2025, while stationary, I was struck from the rear by another vehicle. The incident was reported both to the South African Police Service and to your company immediately. More than two weeks later, on 24 July 2025, I received a call from your offices advising that my claim had been declined on the basis of a payment default — an allegation that is patently false and entirely baseless. This excuse is not only factually incorrect but also a blatant failure of your internal payment reconciliation process. Let me be clear: I paid on time. I have proof. Your company confirmed the policy. The vehicle was insured at the time of the accident.

What followed was an appalling display of incompetence, administrative failure, and a complete disregard for professional standards and customer care. The fact that I, the client, must now prove payments that your systems should have properly recorded, is not only unacceptable — it borders on bad faith insurance practice.

Due to this mishandling, I have suffered unnecessary emotional distress, financial inconvenience, and a gross delay in processing a straightforward claim. The burden of your administrative failures cannot be shifted onto me.

I am therefore demanding the following, with immediate effect: Reinstatement and full processing of my claim without any further delay. A full waiver of the excess, due to misrepresentation and error on your part. A waiver of three months’ premiums as compensation for emotional distress and your failure to resolve this timeously and correctly. Should this matter not be resolved within 48 hours of receipt of this letter, I will escalate this matter to the Ombudsman for Short-Term Insurance without hesitation and will pursue all legal avenues available to me, including a formal legal complaint for misrepresentation, breach of contract, and emotional damages. This level of service is completely unacceptable. I will not accept anything less than a full and immediate resolution. Yours, Mr S Moodley
