Imagine waiting 12 days in a flooded house for help from King Price

The geyser in the house we are renting burst on the 12th/13th Feb 2025 and completely flooded the townhouse and damaged our furniture. We lodged a claim on the morning of 14th of Feb. It took 11 days for the claim to be approved and today, on the 12th day (26th Feb 2024) we are still sitting with water damaged and wet furniture/linen in our house. They don't allow you to speak to senior management or an escalation system given the state of the claim.

I will present the timeline to demonstrate the poor performance by King Price Insurance related to the claim below:

1. Claim lodged with King Price Insurance: 14 Feb 2025

2. 1st Assessor came to inspect: 17 Feb 2025

3. 2nd Assessor came to inspect: 19 Feb 2025

4. 1st Follow up call by client to King Price for status update request (Russel Daries): 20 Feb 2025

5. 2nd Follow up call by client to King Price for status update request (Russel Daries): 21 Feb 2025

6. 3rd Follow up call by Client to King Price for status update request (Russel Daries): 24 Feb 2025

7. 4th Follow up call by Client to King Price for status update request (Russel Daries): 25 Feb 2025

9. 5th Follow up call by Client to King Price for status update request (Russel Daries): 25 Feb 2025 (Claim Approved)

10. 6th Follow up call by Client to King Price for information about when items are be collected (Russel Daries). No update: 26 Feb 2025

As you can see, the past 12 days have been an arduous process and terrible client experience given the gravity of the situation with damages to our home possessions. The only communication received from King Price were two generic emails stating that they are working on it. There were no follow up calls and explanations of the process. My wife and I have been disappointed in the execution of your duties in this matter.

If your geyser bursts and floods your household, don't rely on King Price Insurance to lookout for you.
