How long does it take for a car to be assessed?

King price has been good to me in 2019, in 2020 what changed? I called and reported a hit and run incident that left my car not mobile on Tuesday 07/01/2020 , tow truck was called and tool my car from Grahamstown to Port Alfred, there was silence after that, I requested a call as lines were busy- which I understood, on Thirsday the 09/01/2020 I was called then I requestested to know where was the car taken to in P, Alfred and whats the progress, later received a message telling me the car will be assessed on the 17/01/2020, such a long time and this is seriously inconbiniencing me, its a long time without having a car and no progress of knowing the damage caused.
