Horror Claiming Experience with King Price Insurance

I was involved in a near-fatal car accident on the morning of December 9th, 2019, one of the rainy days that culminated in the Centurion floods.

Since submitting the claim on the day of the accident, which was initially handled by Lesego Phatshwane, who a month later (on January 7th. 2020) was changed to a brash Karen van der Baan (for obvious reasons). My interaction with her has been nothing but unpleasant from a point of view of a customer, who I met for a face-to-face meeting on January 9th and was made to relay details of the accident, despite having done so on December 9th.

King Price requested from me a number of documents, including: A No-Claims Bonus letter from my previous insurer; Personal Bank Statements; A cellphone screenshot to prove that I contacted them immediately after the accident (their lines were down that morning so I used a towing company that was at the scene (because of this, they threatened not to pay the towing costs)); Travel details from my tracking company; Friends' phone numbers and home addresses, including phone numbers of those that were in the other car involved in the accident, who, without any proof, claim that I may have been intoxicated/I had consumed alcohol - a claim I refute as I do not consume any. Karen claims there were seven (7) witnesses at the scene, a number she later lowered to five (5) - but I only remember seeing three (3). She refuses to tell me who the 7 or 5 people are.

In my experience of dealing with an insurance company to lodge a claim, dealing and interacting with King Price Insurance has, by far, been the worst!

Today, January 28th, 2020 - seven weeks post the accident - I am yet to get feedback from the insurer. What a shame!
