Horrific Experience with King Price Insurance - BEWARE

If I could give zero stars, I would. Our experience with King Price Insurance has been nothing short of traumatizing and completely unacceptable.

We suffered a home burglary where 4-5 intruders broke in while my wife was asleep. The ordeal was beyond horrific: they held her down, gagged her, and tied her up with ripped bedsheets while forcing her to hand over cellphones, laptops, bank cards, and even divulge bank account details through apps and websites. Imagine having someone sit on your back, hand over your mouth, while your home is being ransacked. After they left, my wife had to free herself, run into the street barefoot at 4 AM, and scream for help, while I was in an equal state of shock.

This is where King Price FAILED us completely.

We filed a claim immediately, expecting the support they so confidently promise in their adverti*****ts. Instead, we were met with what felt like interrogation and harassment by their appointed assessor, who treated us like ********s, not victims. It was a nightmare. Items ****** and later recovered (but soaked in rainwater and held by the police as evidence) were scrutinized endlessly. Dealing with King Price made the already horrific trauma feel ten times worse.

After paying over R6000 per month in premiums for multiple vehicles and household insurance, King Price had the audacity to pay out a mere R2500. It's shocking and disgraceful.

To make matters worse, after we canceled our policy and moved to Outsurance (who offered far better service and premiums), King Price continued to debit our account. Only after yet another battle did they refund a pro-rata portion of the second month’s premium they took.

Does King Price understand trauma? Absolutely not. Their claims service is cold, unprofessional, and devoid of any empathy. They lure you in with promises of being VIP clients, but when it comes time to claim, they show their true colors.

To anyone considering King Price: DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. This company is a ****. If you’re lucky enough not to have to claim, you’ll probably never see this side of them, but when disaster strikes, they will fail you. Avoid King Price Insurance at all costs.
