"Honesty is the policy" when it suits you. Poor service.

On the 27th of February I had an accident. I called the insurance while I was on the scene of the incident. I used a strangers phone to advised them that my phone was dead and I will be going home(since it was 5mins away) to charge it so I can receive the relevant information from the insurance on my cell phone and not on a strangers phone. When I left the scene there were policemen there.

I was advised, on my phone, that the tow truck arrived on the scene, so I returned back. (Note, The car involved in the accident never left the scene) My point being, I advised the lady whom I reported the emergency to (king price) of my intentions. I was honest of all my where abouts, since honesty is the policy.

On the 29th I got a phone call from the assessor, who was a bit rude over the phone. He told me there was discrepancy on my claim. From the initial instance the assessor told me green bottles of alcohol were seen in my car in the event of the accident which his statement was not true. There was no such substance carried in the vehicle nor on me personally. Now it left me wondering if the investigator can accuse me of such based on assumptions and false information so they can pin me down on something which is false, how can I trust his judgement on this claim? (Bear in mind this assumption was made before the car got inspected by him). Strange how there were policemen on the scene, so I asked the assessor if I was under the influence why didn't they do a blood or any other test for D.U.I. still didn't get a reasonable point from him. The assessor said he had "facts" , of which these were folktales, whenever I questioned those "facts", the answers where never clear and concise, those facts aren't proven to be true.

I've been with King price since 2014. Never missed a premium I only got critical cover once. Now at another critical point when I needed cover,I was shut down in the rudest manner. Adding insult to injury I was falsely accused, based on false accusations and I was found "guilty" prior to the investigation been conducted of which a conclusion was made based on false accusations and assumptions. Clearly they interest is not within the service of their customers but within the premiums they charge for their soul gain.

We confirm that Charl Victor from our office was in contact with you to discuss your concerns.
We wish to refer you to your policy document “Be honest”. During the validation of your claim it was found that you did not provide King Price with true and complete information as you were requested to confirm your whereabouts prior to the accident, but we were unable to confirm any of the information you provided. Furthermore your version of events changed as the validation of the claim continued.
You are further referred to your policy document relating to “You are not covered when leaving the scene of an accident”. There were witnesses at the scene who witnessed the accident who confirmed that the driver of the vehicle left the scene and the person who came back was not the driver of the vehicle. They further confirmed that the driver of the vehicle was noted to be under the influence. You are not covered for driving under the influence.
