Higher premium for no reason
I've been a King Price client since the first year they started operating. Most of the time they have been exactly what you would expect from an insurer and they had innovative products but this latest interaction will be the last straw and I'm currently shopping for a new insurer.
I added an electric fence to my home. On the insurance policy to date it was noted that I do not have an electric fence. I updated them and asked that it be noted that I now have an electric fence around my property. This made my home content insurance premium 63% higher. The first time I tried to make this change they noted an issue and told me they would call back the same day. No call came. Same happened 3 days later, same promise of a callback, still no call. A week later which is today I tried again and this time they had a discussion with a manager and the conclusion was that yes it makes not sense but that is just the way their underwriting works. The more secure your home, the more you pay. I asked the consultant if it made sense to her and she admitted that it does not. But there was nothing they could do except not add the info that I had an electric fence around my property.
So they did not even try and sugarcoat the more expensive premium. The more secure your home the higher your premium.
Also the pitch that your car premium being reduces every month is a thing of the past. I've had no premium reductions on my car in years. Sorry King Price but you let your focus slip from good customer service to whatever you claim this situation to be.

I was contacted first by someone from King Price calling back on the request for callback that was already completed.
Then later by someone from the complains department who obviously read this review and could figure out what all three assessors did wrong on my policy. He corrected it which was appreciated.
Two days later I was called 4 times by consultants to find out if I received my callback. This put the nail in the coffin.
A few days later I called King Price at about 9AM to cancel with them and of course the consultant said they would call me back same day. Ironic because that is why we are in this situation.
And ofc they did not call me back as promised. Is is just standard bad service or are they deliberately not calling back because I said I want to cancel?
Being adequate at your core business is not good enough if your customer service is this bad. You need to do better but you had several chances to improve with me and squandered all of them.
