King Price

my first claim was in a smash and grab claim for a window.they passed me on to a autoboys, never followed up with me to find out if everything was sorted but instead phoned 2 weeks later to hear about why i didn't pay excess, which WAS paid when window was fitted.TODAY i found out how turd this insurance company is.i am insured for pet veterinary expenses.the limit is about R1500.I had my animal at the vet for emergency op as my cat had a hole in her shoulder.i tried claiming for a R1000 i spent. They refuted.their reason?the animal was not in a car accident. They claim vet cover is under vehicle insurance but my policy CLEARLY states household content. This is breach of contract and i believe this is despicable. They also don't send policy to customers via post,it's to your email which goes to your spam and now i see why.ALSO,the policy they send customer is not the same as the one they reserve. The vet told me he cant say if my cat was knocked, stabbed or in a fight.when i asked florence at king price if she can prove she was NOT knocked by a car her reply was can i prove she WAS.I don't deal with companies who breaches contract or conduct shady business like this.good riddance to trash

Hi Jonathan
We note that our claims department has explained the veterinary benefit to you. The documents are emailed to you at inception the fact fact that your email provider moved them to your spam / junk folder is beyond our control. The below is an excerpt from your KPPD ( King Price Policy Document ) regarding the veterinary benefit noted on your schedule and can be found on page 43 :
''• Veterinary expenses: If your household pet is injured in a road accident.''
We note when you registered the claim you advised our claims department that the hole in the cats arm was as a result of an abscess as per the vet. Based on this it is clear that the hole in the arm was not as a result of a road accident and therefore we are unable to assist in this instance.
Royal regards
