Extremely dissatisfied by thelevel of unproffessionalism & ************ i encounted from king Price insurance claim assessors.
Today marks the days (18 Jan 2018) i will never ever forget in my life. I logded a vehicle claim with King Price insurance on monday. The claim was registed and was assigned an assessor by the name of Jacques Du Plessis and his collegue by the name of Schalk. Mr Jacques Du Plessis wanted a meeting with and i agreed to meet him on tusday( 16 Jan 2018) mornig at my work offices in Lynwood in Pretoria and his was accompanied by Schalk . I provided them will all the information in terms of what transipired during the day of the accident and they were recording everything that i said in our meeting. After that they requested my personal banking details which i think was too personal nonetheless I compiled with all they information requests and submitted all the documents the following day (17 Jan 2018). Subsequent to that i received a call from him on the same day asking me for another meeting. I did sensitise them about my hectic work schedule and i asked them what the meeting was in connection with and Jack told me it was in connection with my claim and then i agreed to meet them in their offices for 30 min or less because i had already given them all information. In my meeting with them, they told that they want to me to verify if all the information i gave them is correct and if there is something i wanted to change then this is the time to do so. I responded by saying that the information I gave them is correct and that i dont have any more information to change or add. They claimed if the info provided is not correct it will jerpadise the claim and i stil mainted my position that i have given the correct one.
I was intimidated by these two gentlemen to change my statment and add more information, after refusing to so and they were aggressive and started threating me that they take my claim to thier committe and recommend it to be rejected and cancel my policy claim. They told me that they have four anonymous witnesses that claimed that i was drunk and i requested the witnesses details - they refused to give me their details. I have told these gentleme several times that i was not under the influence on alcohol and police came to scene and saw that i did not consume any alcohol. I also provided them with names of the police on the scene to prove that iwas not under the influence of alcohol.
They made false accussations about without any substantial evidence and this is despite eveything i told them. Both of these men have no regard of the police service. They threatened and intimidated me to change my statment and when i did not they called of the meeting. I told them numerous times to refrain from from making such allegations & accusations about me as this is something serious . They refused to listen to my side of the story as their client but believe something they claim to be told by their anonymous witneses. Im not sure what king of company is king price who has no regards and trust their clients but believe whatever they want to believe.
For me its clear that from the onset they were not here to assist me with my vehicle claim but to do whatever it takes to reject the claim as Schalk indicated and its on record. These two king price assessors will do anything to reject my claim the despite me giving everything and infact, they dont take police reports seriously unless it suits their rejection policy and save cost for King price and get thier monthly bonuses.
I m so gutted to say the least, i have never been treating like this before in my entire life especially by a company that is supposed to assisting me as their client.
The reason why im putting this here is inform other consumers so that they do not encounter what i did . What kind of insurance comany rejects claim based baseless information and without facts. The level of unproffessionalism , ************, accussations, that i experienced from their assessors its heartbreaking and something to be done urgently.

Thank you for your comments and allowing us the opportunity to respond.
Our sincerest apologies if you felt intimidated in anyway during the validation of your claim. The procedure / process of the validation was explained to you in detail. The procedure is the same with each client and it is of vital importance that you supply King Price with the correct information as this will assist us during the validation process in order to make it as efficient as possible. As also explained to you during the assessment at your office Jacques will go and validate all the information that you have supp****. If there is any additional information or discrepancies this will need to be addressed. The validation was done and numerous independent witnesses where interviewed and the information that you supp**** us was not accurate especially pertaining the consumption of alcohol. Unfortunately we are unable to comment on the procedure the SAPS followed in your case. In the second meeting the opportunity was given to you to supply us with any additional information on your claim you would like to change to which you answered no. The facts where given to you and needed to be discussed. The assessments are all on recording and if you can recall you did not want us to record the meetings and we again explained to you why this is necessary. Should you dispute the outcome of your claim the process is noted on the letter sent to you by our claims department.
