Emergency Assist Useless
<p>I phoned the King Price Emergency Assist line requesting the assistance of a locksmith. The security gate at my house cannot be unlocked and the lock is stuck. I was asked if I had door to get into the house which I do. I was then told that they won't send a locksmith to the house if I have another door. They said I could pay for someone to come out which doesn't form part of the Emergency Assist service. In my policy documentation that I received, and according to the policy documentation on the King Price website, there is no mention of this clause. The Emergency Assist is just bad in general, the last time that I used them I waited all day for a plumber to come to my house to assist. This is certainly one area where other insurers provide a far superior service.</p>
Although we never really enjoy hearing that our clients have been frustrated or disappointed by us, we do appreciate you bringing situations like this to our attention, so that we can immediately improve the service we provide.
Unfortunately the emergency assist is for emergencies, due to the fact that you had access to the home it did not constitute as an emergency. Had you been locked out of your home and unable to enter the emergency factor would have been taken into account. We further note that our assist line did offer to send someone out for you at your own cost which we note you declined.
