Don't waste time with King Price
Last week Monday we updated our policy to another vehicle. My wife hit a pot hole few days later and now they refuse to approve the claim because the vehicle was not taken for inspection at the time. Jean **** to us that we were told to take the vehicle for inspection within 48 hours and will only have 3RD PARTY Cover till its done. I requested the recording which he sent and nowhere on the recording was that stated. He was very quick to have the cover cancelled rather than pay. I called and emailed numerous times after that but they started avoiding us. On Wednesday we just receive an email stating they rejected the claim. We rep**** and even tried to call but we just get ignored. Later I got hold of Shaldon claims manager who asked to forward everything I had to prove our claim which i sent and he rep**** receiving. As usual since than he is not available or replying to emails. Rather stick with known insurance companies who don't hassle and look for tiny excuses to prove their own clients wrong all time.
Thank you for your comments and allowing us the opportunity to respond. We have listened to the conversation at point of sale and it was clearly stated that the policy holder take the vehicle for inspection, further to this all documentation pertinent to the policy was emailed to the policy holder on the 14/04/2015 the day the policy was accepted. An SMS was sent to the policy holder on the 14/04/2015 - ( Just a friendly reminder from King Price to please call 24Fix on ***or pop past your nearest branch to book your car's inspection. ) in order to remind the policy holder of the urgency.
Rest assured we have your best interest at heart hence all the communication we sent at sales stage in order to make sure the vehicle is taken for inspection so to confirm the condition of the vehicle and acceptance thereof. We note the policy holder had purchased the vehicle on a private sale and not from a dealership so we could not confirm the condition of the vehicle at sales stage.
We further wish to note that the policy was cancelled on request of the policy holder and not of our own accord.
We trust the above will provide elucidation.
Royal regards
