Dispute on letter of demand

I would like to complain regarding an incident that occurred when cement from a crane splashed onto your client’s vehicle.

When my husband approached your client, his worker admitted in front of your client that he attempted to wash the cement off using a brush. Unfortunately, this caused further damage to the car. I had previously explained this to Ms. Maditshaba Motlou, however, instead of addressing the matter professionally, she dismissed my explanation in a rude manner and went further to raise unrelated issues, such as alleged letters from Tshwane, which have nothing to do with this matter.

To be clear: • I am not denying that cement splashed onto the car. • However, the damage to the vehicle was caused when your client’s own worker attempted to clean it with a brush. • We never refused to cooperate — I explained to Ms. Motlou that I do not have R16,000 immediately available, but I was not given an opportunity to discuss payment arrangements.

Despite this, I have now received a letter of demand, which I feel is premature, especially since the cause of the actual damage is in dispute. If your client or their insurer (King Price) wishes to pursue compensation, the claim should rightfully be directed to the construction company I hired, as they were responsible for the crane operations.

I remain open to resolving this matter fairly, but I cannot be held liable for damages that I did not directly cause. and another thing that lady’s was very rude to me she does not belong there if she can’t handle clients it will definitely happens again with someone else she should be given proper training on top she explaining things to me of the plan and letter I got from Tswane who give her the right to asked questions about my plan …is this how king price treat a the other party then this called unprofessional
