Disputable car insurance

I laid a claim for my motor vehicle a month and half ago, they were quickly to assist me and send me for assessment and I was very impressed, little did i know that the at was their last action that will be impressive and to follow was only grief, I'm still awaiting for them to finalize my claim, I have foned and emailed them numourous times and I'm always getting lame excuses, I have asked to speak to their manager and he is always unavailable and I'm told that he will get to me and he never does. I'm very disappointed at them and I feel that my only option now is to contact my lawyers and let them further the matter and that is one process that I really hate doing but I have no choice.
