Disgruntled

I lodged a claim with King Price during November. To date my car has not been attended to and there has little to no communication from the service provider. I have just taken in my vehicle for its service and was advised that I have to be cautious from using my vehicle until the repair is attended to, as it will damage the vehicle further. I am absolutely disappointed by the lack of communication. In fact now that I'm faced with the process of a claim, I am regretful of selecting them as an insurer for a number of reasons. Firstly my excess is so high, that the cost that I am required to fork out for the repair is more that the amount that will be paid out by King Price. Secondly their communication is quite poor, as Ive gone over a month without the vehicle been repaired. Thirdly I am more alarmed by the advi*****t given by my car service agent, warning against the use of the vehicle. Fourthly given that the festive season is practically over and that I will soon be back at the office, how do I travel about while the vehicle is in for repair? Given that King Price is so big in advertising and reassuring with their prompt and efficient service, I beg to differ. I will definitely guard against using them as a provider!

This unfortunately is my third review on the site to gain the attantion of King Price Insurance!!!
In order to provide a holistic view, I am going to try to go back in time. I had an accident during November 2016 at which time the claim was lodged and a claim number assigned. There was a lack if any communication from the Insurance company. The entire of December went by with no communication. I became alarmed during January 2017 when my car was booked in for a service at which time I was advised against using my vehicle due to the extent of the damages caused by the accident. It was at this time that that I first took to airing my disgruntled views. Only upon publishing my views did I receive a call from the insurer....subsequently the car was booked in for repair. During this time I was left without a vehicle for use which was becoming a nightmare as I returned to work post the festive break. During a telecon with the insurer to arrange car hire as a courtesy due to their negligence, I was advised that they would be unable to assist. I also requested that given their negligence together with consideration to the cost of the repair, they should reduce if not cancel the excess amount payable. My request stemmed up from the fact being that the excess amount payable was higher than the cost that King Price woul need to pay the repair company. As much as I am aware of the contract I had signed and without passing the buck, its not only until you faced with a situation that you realize how misleading advertising can be. I would have thought that if a vehicle repair cost is below a certain ration costing, that the excess amount payable would not be applicable. As personally I think its a ******* to pay and insurance company to receive cover when found in and accident, and on top of that to pay a significant amount that is higher than the amount paid by the insurance company. In light of this I encourage all readers of this post to be more weary of the T&Cs when signing up with an insurance company. Though sharing my viewpoints with the insurer around the excess, they advised that they could not assist. So this was the second time that no empathy was app**** by the company (car hire and excess cost). Heavily disgruntled at this time, I took to sharing my experience, so that other users of the insurance or those intending to sign up would be made aware of the poor service from King Price. Shortly after I received a call for a car hire company informing me that car hire has been arranged while the vehicle is in for repair (a maximum of 10days), of which I was appreciative. Days have gone by and there had been no communication around the status of my vehicle repair. Only upon my inquiry with the panelbeater (Ross Champion) was I given a status update. Each time I was told they are awaiting parts. Only until yesterday when I followed up once again was I notified that there is still pending authorisation for main parts. The panelbeater updated me on the status and shared through their communication with the assessor (appointed by King Price) requesting authorisation. To date (nearing 1 and a half weeks-which does not include the time inbetween), there still has been no movement taken in attending to the claim. I am grappling to understand how King Price manages their business, as their lack of communication is beyond terrible. More so startling is that though this is my third complaint published, there is still nothing been done to improve their communication s****s!!!
