Disappointed King Price Insurance Client
I reported an incident that left my vehicle immobile in the early morning of Friday the 20th of November.
I was duly assisted and advised that although there were no damages to the body of my vehicle, my vehicle was still to be taken through to an assessment centre in case there is any unseen damage.
After registering a claim, I was advised that the claim process should take 7 - 10 working days and that since it appears to be a minor claim it could be less. My contact details were made available and I advised on my preferred method on contact.
Days passed without being contacted, I then decided to follow up and was asked if I had been told I needed to submit an invoice (I was not contacted, so no) from a repair centre close to my place of residence. As advised, I obtained an invoice and submitted it to ***; after-which I received a confirmation of receipt 4 days later advising I would be contacted by close of business, I was not contacted.
In the process of me making further follow ups, I eventually received an email response and where I was advised of a convenient time to be contacted as apparently attempts to contact me were unsuccessful; checking missed calls on my phone...no messages were left from King Price Insurance, but I accordingly advised when would be an ideal time to call and this again seemed to have fallen on deaf ears...no return calls were made.
Again, the onus was placed on me as has been the case throughout the duration of what has now become an ordeal to follow up. In following up I was advised the claim had been closed due to the costs on the quotation submitted being less than my excess and was advised that if I would like roadside assist to tow the vehicle to a relevant repair centre, I should call during a weekday to make the necessary arrangements. As advised, I called during the week only to be sent from pillar to post with contracting information at almost every pillar and post. At first I am transferred through from claims to roadside assist to arrange for towing, then I am told by roadside that they cannot assist until an instruction to release the vehicle has been received from claims and that they would make the request on my behalf and revert to me. I waited, and sadly as expected no one reverted to me with an update on the matter. Since then I have had to make numerous calls a day to claims and roadside assist with each department refusing evasively referring me to the other, only to eventually have a claims consultant release the vehicle, proved to be a very simple process, after-which I was advised to make my own arrangements to collect the vehicle and had to again reiterate what I had initially been advised that roadside assist were to assist in the matter.
As it stands, I am still yet to be assisted with the towing of my vehicle and am still trying to make and confirm the necessary arrangements with road assist.
This ordeal has been a disappointment, I am a fairly new King Price client and in the rough 18 months or so with King Price have given me very good service, why this time 'round, for a claim that will not be costing them much if anything at all I am having to jump through hoops, I don't understand.
waited only to be told the claim had been closed as the damage costs were less than my excess and that I should submit a Without venting my frustration I sought direction as to what step to take next and was advised by the consultant to call on a weekday to arrange for the towing of my vehicle from the assessment centre to my preferred repaired centre.
I have been calling the claims department and roadside assist for a number of days now and am being sent from pillar to post which is further compounded by contradicting information in the respective departments.
