Complaint against additional charge
Someone bumped into my wife's car. I have comprehensive cover, but they want me to pay 10000. At least if they had asked for my excess only

Please note the R10000 is your excess amount. As with all insurers the excess is the amount payable by you in the event of a valid claim. We note that yours is this amount because your claim is within the first 3 months of your policy starting hence there is an additional excess. Your basic excess is R6500 and there is an additional excess of R3500 as your claim is within the first 3 months of your policy starting with us. After the 3 month waiting period that additional excess falls away, unfortunately your claim is within this period.

03 Apr 2023, 14:19I have requested for the conversation where this was started to no avail. Why are you not sending me the conversation where the 3 months period was mention. That is making me feel extremely dissatisfied. If you could do that I would appreciate. I also requested you to claim from the person who bumped into the car to no avail. But come end of the month you do as usual collect your money yet I am not receiving a service. 0/10. I think I think out there there are better insurance which I am now considering
