Claim rejected

My vechicle was involved in an accident on the 25.07.2024,my dad is stated as the regular driver of the vehicle. Firstly I was liable for the cost of the towing services and storage on the vehicle whereby my policy states that In an incident whereby the regular driver is unable to contact the insurance they will be liable for the cost, in this case it was never done, cost was on me. Then my claim was investigated from all sectors, finally came to a decision and rejected my claim because my dad has a ******** record which I was completely unaware off. Now I sit with a cost of R22500 and a rejected claim with a write off vechicle. This is honestly absurd and ridiculous but get this my dad was also a regular driver of a policy where my hubby had taken and he was hijacked but that claim was approved last year as well with king price. I am honestly so unhappy with the service I have received, clearly insurances are a complete waste of time and we should forget about taking it. I was told I should contact the ombudsman to fight on my behalf.
