Cancellation
Recently renewed my contract/policy. Wasnt aware of a red flag status bhind my name when I initially took out the policy. When policy was renewed, I answered yes to a question which I answered no when policy was first initialised. They then immediately cancelled my policy. I have not received any correspondence whatsoever. I phoned them 3 times yesterday and everytime a message was taken and someone will phone me back. Still waiting. I wasnt aware of a redflag that was placed on my name up until a month ago when I enquired with another insurance institute. Now because I am honest when renewing policy because I have been made aware of a redflag, they quick to cancel my policy, yet for the last 24 months they had no problem debiting my account every month for premiums.

We note that when asked upon the inception of your cover if you had ever been cancelled by an insurer you answered no. Due to the above we accepted cover. At a later stage in your cover with us you where asked the same question and answered yes. Based on this answer we were unable to continue cover and the policy was subsequently cancelled. We wish to further note that the voidance of your cover with us was as a natural result of your previous insurer cancelling your cover. All premiums will be refunded to you from inception of cover.
