Bad Service

Hi there.

I would just like to warn anybody out there that is with King Price insurance currently about the kind of service i got.

Someone drove into my car in the beginning of December 2017 so it was their fault. My brother was the driver of my car and he wasn't registered as a driver of my car on my Policy.

I logged a claim with My Insurance which is King Price and they took all my details and everything and told me that they would fix the car and claim the money back from the person's Insurance that drove into me.

They had my car uplifted from my house and took it in for assessment, the damage was assessed and a quote was e mailed to me with the costs and everything. the claims guy phoned me and asked if i wanted to proceed and i said yes. All excited i thought my car was being fixed.

The damages came to about R24 000. The Claims guy phoned me again and told me that my access isn't R8500 anymore it is going to be R13 000 because my brother drove it. So King Price was only going to pay 11 000. I even agreed to pay that high amount of access just so that my car could get fixed and i would get my access back as they were going to claim it back from the other guy's insurance.. He told me he is going to go forward with the claim and evrything. This was last year December.

I received a phone call last week Friday 19 Jan 2018 and this Claims Guy told me that my claim was rejected because my brother was the driver and he is not registered as a driver of my car on my policy. i mean c'mon couldn't you have told me that last year already and i would've made other plans. And on top of that after my car was assessed on the 16th of December 2017 it was dropped off at SMD, which is a car auction site and my car stood there from that day until Monday 22nd January 2018. So he tells me i'm going to have to pay for the storage of the car at SMD and i must get my own tow truck to tow the car back to my house where they (King Price) uplifted my car.

I was furious and raised my voice a bit at this Claims Guy and they delivered my car on Monday. My car cant drive as the impact was on the wheel. They returned my car on monday with a tow truck and not a flatbed as was needed. I don't know if there is any extra damages to my car or if anything was taken from my car for the month it was standing who knows where.

So if this is the kind of service you want from an insurance company i would recommened anyone else besides King Price.
