"Approved" Panelbeaters Deliver Laughably Poor Service

To Whom It May Concern

I recently received my car back from Savannah Coachworks in Pretoria West, after the vehicle being in their posession for more than 2months due to a back log during December.

Long story short - upon collecting of the vehicle I was informed that all is in order and that all the checks and quality controls have been done, only to find out that thus was not the case.

Firstly, I was informed that the guys at the panelbeaters "forgot" to replace my car battery and that it is now my responsibility to do so...which I did as the battery was completely drained from being left stationary for 2months - as soon as I switched off the ignition, I couldn't start the car again.

Secondly, upon closer inspection it was found that the lock mechanism of the boot, did not work properly and that the vehicle did not register that it was closed even though it was. I was then informed that the lock was NOT replaced but rather re-used - this after the accident lead to my entire boot panel being replaced. The boot was still operational and they guys at the panelbeaters ensured me that they would order a new lock mechanism asap. As it stands now, my boot cannot open at all, the car keeps on unlocking due to the faulty mechanism which means that I can't lock the vehicle at all!

To add insult to injury, when I wanted to fill the car up with petrol, the flap to the petrol cap did not want to open! I'm am now in a situation where even though I have my vehicle back, I cannot use it at all. Even if I could drive it, which I can't, seeing as I can't fill it up, I can't park it anywhere as it does not lock!

PLEASE explain to me how Savannah Coachworks is supposedly on your approved list of suppliers even though they provide such laughable and ridiculous service.

A VERY disgruntled customer.
