APPALLING SERVICE & MIS-ADMINISTRATION

Public beware of super cheap inusance claims, the slightly lower premium cannot compare to the pains endured when its time to claim. My story is as follows , I signed up with King Price about three months ago, like so many unsuspecting others drawn in by their super cheap insurance mottos. About two weeks ago my vehicle was involved in a accident & the start of a painful claims process more so than the injuries sustained in the actual accident. To Summarise the vehicle was given an absurd book value much less than market, then on the grounds of cost of repair vs book value your vehicle is deemed written off yet the actual accident damage is minor & vehicle driveable. There next stage of the process is to find ways of dimissing the claim entirely by trying to find inconsistencies during inception of the insurance contract. In my case they found inconsistency during the telephonic contract agreement wereby the sales consultant didnt fully explain what he ment by previous comprehensive insurance & therefore i gave information which to them was incorrect ie. i stated i had 3-5 years insurance when in fact i did not, but my understanding of the question was if i drove a comprehensively insured vehicle be it my own or other. On the strengh of this they dismissed my claim in its entirety. The nightmare didnt stop there, when i equired to the were abouts of my vehicle it was brought to my attendtion it was sent to a car auctioneer in a different town without my knowledge. This does not tie up since the claim was rejected therefore what gives them the right to do as they please with my vehicle? There response was that its protacol should a vehicle be written off. However my claim was rejected therefore the vehicle is not written off especialy when the write off is based on financial reason only & not mechanical. The crux of the matter is that my vehicle was removed from the panel shop to some other location for auction without my permission & rejection of the claim , Save yourselves stay away from King Price & inform your friends & family.

Regards

A Maharaj

Pietermaritzburg

Hi Ashley

We’re just so sad to hear about your negative experience. We do our best to give every single client personalised, royal service, and we’re so sorry that you feel we let you down.

We note the vehicle was not up for auction and only stored at the SMD salvage yard upon completion of the assessment at the panel beater. Further to the above the outcome of the claim was discussed with you in detail. Our repair management department has been in contact with you to arrange the parts that where removed during the assessment be put back on the vehicle and the vehicle to be towed back to your premises. Should you wish to dispute the outcome of the claim you may do so by emailing a detailed dispute to *** for further review.

Royal regards

The kings court
