Appalling Service from King Price -Account Number CKP***/1 - Matter Number 133244

On the 6th of March, a King Price client smashed into me, I submitted a 3rd party claim against King Price and a ton of documentation was requested from me. A few weeks later Regina Chindomu was assigned to handle my matter. Through a series of requests to submit information that King Price already had, an Assessor was eventually assigned to evaluate the damage on my vehicle. The Assessment on my car was done on the 28th of April. The Assessor told me that he will submit his report the following day. Till this day I am still waiting for King Price. The Excuse Regina gave me is that they are awaiting for salvage company that took their (King Price) client’s car to invoice them then they can continue with my claim, and she said it could take months. I refuse to believe that it take months to issue an invoice. This is needless to say that I saved King Price storage fees by storing the vehicle at my premises. I find this to be totally unacceptable as the client was possibly promised 3rd party liability cover when they were sold the policy. This is so frustrating as the excuses being sent to me are lame.

Update:30 May 2016 14:52 PM. I called Regina to get an update, her feedback to me was that they are waiting for the Salvage company(SMD) to sell their client's car before they can look into my claim. I asked her if it takes a year to get that car sold what happens to me - Her response " Unfortunately we will take a year to pay you out". This is so wrong on so many levels.

Hi Mr Sithole

You have been corresponding directly with Dricke the manager in our legal department whom has explained to you that as a 3rd party claiming directly from us there is a legal process involved as well as we are unable to validate and complete your 3rd party claim until our clients wreckage has been sold as these figures are required in order to correctly calulate the figures required to complete your matter.

We further note that Dricke has advised you that this is a lengthy process and we urge you to claim directly from your insurer so that they are able to sort your vehicle out in the meantime and then their legal department is able to deal directly with us.

Our sincerest apologies for the time frame involved unfortunately this is standard practice hence we urge you to claim directly from your insurer should you not be content with the process involved.

Royal regards

The kings court

Hi, Thanks you for the response , I still find it odd that you promise your clients a proper 3rd party cover , and yet 3rd party victims are left to suffer. It would really be unfortunate if I were to revert this matter back at your client and claim against them. They paid premiums to be covered for such incidents. I fail to understand why I need to wait for SMD to sell the vehicle before King Price and settle my matter. 1). The Value of our Vehicles will never be the same, why should the invoice received from the salvage company determine the value of my settlement? 2), why should I be told to claim from my insurance ? I have to suffer no claim Bonus? what if I am not covered? Please bear with me as I need clarity on this matter - I have dealt with a third party claim before and none of your competitors apply this method. I wholeheartedly accept your apology on the delay - This is not giving me options on the way forward.
