********* and greedy
I may have had 2 claims last year, but the first claim i was told by kingprice i was not liable as the guy who knocked my car in the parking lot whilst I was away, had to pay and he happened to be a king price client. The second incident of the cement truck causing damage to my bonnet was again not my fault but i put a claim through and paid the excess as required. You now up my premium by about 30%, how ethical and fair is that? It's very disheartening when insurance companies treat their clients so badly and expect them to accept such a steep jump in their premiums. I certainly would not recommend kingprice to anyone because when you put in a claim they show their true colours.

02 Jan 2024, 14:03Here's the thing, like all insurers, we too need to implement policy rerates to keep up the rising costs of parts, labour rates, repairs, inflation etc... Which even we can't ignore!
These costs aren't linked to the value of your car, which as you know, depreciates monthly. And unlike other insurers, King Price takes this into account and DECREASES your comprehensive car insurance premium every month. Our retentions team will be in contact to discuss.

03 Jan 2024, 22:03I received a call from your consultant yesterday and was advised that it was not only the claims but also the price of parts for repairs that will increase the premium. Further, they cannot offer me any discount on my premium. My point is that cars depreciate, thats a fact. Further, she advised that kingprice gives a discount every month, which i agree, but giving me a R5 discount every month adds up to R60 a year and my premium has increased by R3600 for the year, how do you justify such a steep increase? Its obvious that you offer a lower premium when signing up the client, once you have the business, up the premium. You can't offer a discount but if you take the higher excess they will gladly lower your premium, does that even make sense? Kingprice, please justify your 30% increase!
