All I Wanted Was A Quotation

On 30 July 2015, I contacted King Price for a quotation for motor vehicle insurance. The consultant was Garth Pillay.

During the conversation, questions were asked, but instead of processing a quotation, a policy was drafted and put into effect. I made it clear that the vehicle is not yet in my name and I will contact Garth Pillay and advise when the vehicle was in my name and to proceed with the insurance. This was indicated in the email I sent him on 4 August 2015, with no response from him.

He stated I should contact him by 28 September 2015 to reschedule the commencement date of the policy for when the vehicle has been transferred into my name. I sent Garth Pillay an email to that effect on 24 and 28 September 2015 but I did not receive a response to neither email.

Tonight, two debit orders have gone off on my account. One successfully and one unsuccessfully. The reason for the two debit orders is to commence the policy.

I believe that I have made justifiable attempts to contact Garth Pillay to notify him within his time frame. Due to the incompetence, I want to completely cancel the policy, cancel the debit order, and reverse the debit order that successfully went off.
