Accident Claim

I had a vehicle accident on the 06 March 2024 and my Claims commander was Earl Marillier

When I received the vehicle it had no air-con re-gas and I was told that it was not on the job card yet the condenser was replaced - after querying it was fixed. The washer fluid bottle was not replaced and I had to query about it also as I was told it was not part of the accident that happened, fortunately it was also replaced. The right front door lock cylinder is no more working and had the vehicle diagnosed since I have issues getting the front door locked. According to the Job card, they had to strip and refit the cylinder and after that was done I cannot open the boot using the button on the door and cannot lock the doors using the central locking button. This was querried but and had the vehicle checked by Durban Pannel Beaters but was not fixed after several attempts. I cannot lock my vehicle anymore. Suspension: I went to Hi Q to have my suspension checked as I had an alignment query with the repairer and they discovered that the right front shock had a dent and had popped on the top cover which was caused by the accident which could be the cause of the alignment being terribly off. The hub is noisy and there is something not visible which is scratching the right front disc. I enquired about this at Durban Pannel Beaters but was told that I have to speak to my insurer for repair authorisation. I would like to know how did the assessor check my vehicle if there was no attention given to the suspension. As far as I believe, if the vehicle was involved in an accident of such the suspension had to be checked and the wheel alignment was supposed to be done but mine was not done. Remembering that the reinforcement bar and the chassis was bent from the impact while the vehicle was stationary.

After few days of my enquiry at King Price this is what I received from the assessor:

Good day all from Alexander Kidson (assessor) Trust my reply mail finds you all well. The right front door lock was not affected in the incident and not related ( not related how because they are the ones who stripped the door pad and removed the Lock Cylinder and now it is not functioning) . The suspension was not damaged in the incident and the report received by our client from Hi Q is not related to the incident - (yet the chassis and reinforcement bar was bent badly with the vehicle stationary) The damages sustained in this accident does not relevant wheel alignment. I will attach a photo taken of the left front tyre and rim that was found in the boot of the vehicle at the time of assessment and shows clearly that there were wheel alignment issues before the client reported the incident, the vehicle was driven with the spare wheel at the time of the incident. I have also noted that the vehicle has been at a repairer and the vehicle has had a complete respray and has dent and scratches all-round the vehicle and the rear has old dent on the rear not related to this incident….. You attendance and response to this matter will be highly appreciated.
