Policy No: KP***. Is it just so amazing that when you apply for insurance, they are so kind and helpful until one day you put in a claim. Then all hell breaks loose. I have had my policy with them for many years and always a regular payer . Recently my cars right hand door lock stopped working as in either broken or not functioning. Being a Bantam Pick Up which has only one door lock and on the drivers side. Car locks but does not unlock. Big problem. On my policy it states clearly that I am covered for car locks and keys. So I put in a claim at their call center which was a task on its own having to deal with a *********** employee that was not sure of herself at all - all on tape, thank goodness. I then get told that I must go and get a damage report, which I did. I went to our local well known lock smith for the last seventeen years, got a quote and submitted it to King Price. Then get told that they have no Provider on their books in or around my area. I was told that I must travel to another town and get a damage report there at a Panel Beater who is on their books. Also with me there was a problem that most lock smiths want a deposit paid upfront understandably which I have not got as I have "Insurance". So they expect me to ride to another town about 40 mins drive there for a damage report and not knowing whether or not it will be accepted or not. If accepted, means I will have to go through this again for the repair. My petrol and discomfort at my expense. I am in my mid sixties and will not be bul**** into their unfairness. A national company acting like this is unacceptable. No support providers in or around your town is pathetic. To date I am still riding in a car that locks but can not unlock - to open it is a mission as you have to try about 15 - 20 times before being lucky, sometimes longer. KING PRICE -You have messed up big this time. I want people to know to be very careful before signing up with Companies that do this. No Royal Kings treatment here. What a joke.
