560% increase in premium only to be told they got it wrong from the start - *********

I had a claim on my car earlier this year, standing still I was rear ended. The claim amounted to R10600 and was settled by the other parties insurnace and even my excess was duly refunded after a while, great thank you.

Two months later the annual increase letter arrives - which is ussual this time of the year, only this time

Car premiums increase by 28%.....household content increase by 62% .... building insurance increase by 560%

The 1st phone call to query this I am told that I am high risk after one insident but they will look into it. Three phone calls later they claim that I have been paying exceptionally low premiums and there is nothing to that can be done about the increase but except it.

Which is now the real reason 1. They under quoted me to gain the business which in my view is ********* or 2. I am now considered a high risk.

What makes matters worse Kavish did not offer any alteration on the policy to try and minimise the impact of the premium hike, simply sorry but there is nothing he can do. He confirmed there are a number of simi**** policies.

I have to question the organisations integrity and ethics. We have gone through changes to this policy on four occassions this year when my son purchased a car and never did so called exceptionally low premiums come into the discussions.

Here's the thing, like all insurers, we too need to implement policy re rates to keep up the rising costs or parts and repairs... Which even we can't ignore!
These costs aren't linked to the value of your car, which as you know, depreciates monthly. And unlike other insurers, King Price takes this into account and DECREASES your comprehensive car insurance premium every month.
Our retentions department was in contact with you to discuss your policy. Should you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact.
