Dont buy Kia

We have approx 3 year old Kia K2500 bakkie which started to give trouble. It became clear that the problem was the injectors. Now I am aware that injectors are not cheap having coincidentally just replaced them on a Toyota Corrolla at a cost of around R4 500.00 each. Imagine my horror at finding out that Kia were wanting to charge R102 000.00 for a set of 4 injectors. I thought it may be cheaper to rather purchase a complete engine. Guess what the engine is R 433 000.00 plus labour to install. A complete new bakkie only costs R 440 000.00. In other words it is cheaper to purchase a complete new bakkie that replace an engine.

What a *******. I decided to contact the dealer principle who didnt want to hear my complaint just handed me over to the parts manager who told me that was the price and he was not interested in how clearly illogical the price was. I put the phone down and have manged to find pirate parts which are working perfectly.

That was my second Kia bakkie and we were intending purchasing 3 more but not now.

Sorry Kia you have just lost a customer and my strongest recommendation is that if you are unfortunate to have already purchased a Kia that you dont take it to Kia Roodepoort with their attitude.
