THIS DEALERSHIP REMINDS ME OF THE MC DONALDS ICE CREAM MACHINE. OUT OF ORDER

Please never do business with this dealership!! I bought a demo model Kia Rio from Kia Northcliff in March with 500km on the clock. The bank had approved my application and we were just waiting for the bank to send the forms. Both my private banker and I kept Nivash (salesperson) in the loop with regards to the progress on the forms. Nivash knew very well that the bank had approved. While waiting for the forms I sold my current car. A few days later Nivash calls me to tell me that they sold the car…RIGHT UNDER MY NOSE. That should have been my first warning. But due to the fact that I was desperate for a car as I had sold mine. Nivash promised to find me the exact same car for the same price…even though the mileage was about 2000km or so MORE.

I start to drive my new car and immediately notice that the reverse gear sticks. The radio also frequently bombs out and makes a huge noise for a minute or so before turning off.

So I contact the dealer principle who tells me to book my car in on a certain day when he will be available and I must ask for him specifically when I arrive with my car. On the day that I book it in, I arrive to find out the dealer principle isn’t even there! Shows how much he cares.

To my shock and confusion…when I arrive back, they tell me that the reverse gear sticking is NORMAL ahahaha…and that I must first put the car in first and then put it in reverse. They also tell me that the radio is fixed.

I’m not sure if they think I’m stupid because I’m a young female but having to put a car in first before reverse is *******…firstly because my boyfriend has the EXACT same car and it doesn’t do that. And secondly even after putting it in first, it STILL gets stuck. The radio still bombs out too.

Anyway…I called the Kia East Rand branch and I told the guy on the line what the people at Kia Northcliff said about the gear and he started laughing too…because it’s THAT hilarious that they actually think they can get away with telling their customers that😂

I’ll update you with what happens once I’ve taken my car to Kia East Rand. For now I’m saying you should avoid Kia Northcliff but soon I might be saying avoid Kia cars entirely.
